A (Not So Short!) and Sweet Update

Hi everyone! – good news, if a bit belated:

Publishing Day was officially a success! The paperback and Kindle versions of Stepsisters both went live on Amazon yesterday, just as planned. Phew! I want to extend a big thank you to those of you who have sent me nice messages, chatted with me about the story, and graced me with your early feedback so far. I really appreciate it! ❤

Stepsisters: A Deceived Novel by Stephanie Rose ViganoI’m so excited to finally share this book with you – and introduce you to the von Essen sisters’ lives as teenagers. Aging the girls up has been something I’ve really enjoyed and looked forward to doing – and it’s brought so many exciting opportunities for new adventures, new dramas, new romances, new heartaches, new ambitions, new mistakes, new chances for personal development, and – of course – new deceptions. While Deceived focused more on the von Essen family’s life-shaping tragedy and the founding adults of the series – successful CEO Bruce von Essen, his artistic first wife Cecilia, and manipulative (read: crazy!) gold-digger Victoria Adessi, Stepsisters shifts the narrative to Bruce and Cecilia’s daughters – musically-gifted fraternal twins, Angelina and Blair – and their misguided new stepsister, Nicolette. They’re no longer kids now, but sixteen-going-on-seventeen – and officially “all grown up!” Seven years after the initial tragedy in Deceived, the girls are ready to start their Junior Year at Archbishop Wright Preparatory School, and it’s a school year that’s bound to entail plenty of new challenges for the girls and their friends to contend with – some of which may ultimately test the survival of their newfound stepsister-hood.

For those of you who are new (welcome!), those who need a refresher (welcome back!), or those who just like to go into a story knowing a bit of what to expect (hello!), Stepsisters is a continuation of Deceived, the first book of the Deceived novels by Stephanie Rose Vigano (me!). The Deceived novels are an ongoing series that tell the story of the von Essen family, a wealthy and troubled family living in the picturesque suburb of Maple Springs, a quaint little town harboring some not-so-pristine secrets, nestled in the wooded hills of the fictional hub of arts and commerce known as Stirling City. Their story is something of a literary “soap opera;” a part-tragedy, part-drama, part-romance, and part-coming-of-ager that follows this family through their trials, tribulations, victories, set-backs, and marches ahead, exploring how one unthinkable event has affected their lives, their decisions, their relationships, and themselves.

Some of the Many Things To Look Forward to in Stepsisters Include:

  • teenage drama
  • musical rivals
  • sisterly bonding time
  • betrayal and heartbreak
  • crushes and romance
  • birthday sleepovers
  • flawed coping mechanisms

  • And much, much more!!

I really hope that you enjoy this novel… and I would love to hear your feedback. Please don’t hesitate to leave an honest review on Amazon (if you would be so kind, I would be most appreciative) and follow me on tumblr. Don’t be shy – I don’t bite! I would love to chat, answer your questions, and speculate with you about what might happen next.

On that note, I’m exhausted. Time to read another chapter and call it a night!

Until next time… happy reading. 🙂

<3, Stephanie Rose Vigano
